Manawatu Gorge

The gorge track was ten kilometers and I had to walk uphill and downhill (but mostly uphill).
From the right: me, Kiari, and Aidan (plus elder company). Kiari and Aidan are in my year at school.
Wind farm.

Kiari taking a picture of me, and me taking a picture of him.

Te Manawa

Te Manawa is a museum that is interactive and is about the Manawatu area. We had a private tour and we went through an old school house from New Zealand and an old house. I was teacher. (G)

Hobbit Trip

Outdoor look of the house of Frodo Baggins in Lord of the Rings, Bag End. This is actually the movie set and we are going to get to look at it next week. It's in Matamata, in the north of the north island.

This is one of the hotels we'll be staying in on the trip. It is based on the hobbit holes from The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. This is in a different place: Waitomo.
