One Big Weekend

Kayaking in Taupo. The lake still hasn't heated up so it was quite cold and the wetsuit was the thing that practically saved our lives!
Kayak lessons from Griffin.

I've got the right stuff.
44 metre freefall.
Me dangerously swinging across a river.
Entering safe zone.

I'm beating Griffin!
Hi everybody!

Australian Animals!

This is a wild kangaroo that we saw just as we were in the parking lot.

She's also got a little joey.

KB, the koala bear.
Tasmanian Devil. Sleepy head.

Dingo.
These kangaroos are tamer than the wild ones. We also got to touch heads with kangaroos.

OK, now it's time for emus.
Dingoes again!

School Holidays... Week 1

We got to feed the animals at Te Manawa (like Greenbush!). A weta is a native NZ bug that is "mostly" vegetarian...and we got to feed them.
The group of 4.

The Esplanade, botanical gardens filled with roses and the stench of cow manure.

The climbing structure at a nearby park.

I got to photograph the duckling.

Beaches on the Way Home from Wellington back to Palmerston North

This crab I found lying on a rock and picked it up. (We left him where we found him though.)
Raumati Beach on the Kapiti Coast. That's Kapiti Island in the background--a nature reserve.
Expecto Patronum!

At Zealandia in Wellington

Moa footprints!
Cat...predator
My auntie Eve and her boyfriend
Baby ducks!
A live tuatara. Tuataras are dinosaurs that only survived in New Zealand.
